SEC Lands 8 in First Coaches Poll

Nick Saban's Crimson Tide starts the season as the highest ranked SEC team in the first AP Coaches Poll

In the first AP Coaches Poll, released today, the SEC has landed 8 of its’ teams somewhere in the top 25.

Even though so many made the top 25, only two made it into the preseason top 10.  The highest ranked among the SEC is Alabama coming in at #2 followed by the LSU Tigers at #4.

The next highest team coming in is South Carolina at #12 followed by Arkansas at #14, Auburn at #19 and Mississippi State at #20.

Georgia and Florida both also made the top 25, the Bulldogs coming in at #22 and the Gators at #23.

The only teams from the conference not making an appearance in the first poll are the Vanderbilt Commodores, the Tennessee Volunteers, the Ole Miss Rebels and the Kentucky Wildcats.
